Babies typically begin to talk between 9-12 months of age, although there is a wide range of what is considered normal. Some babies may start speaking as early as 6 months or as late as 15 months.

At first, babies will usually begin by making cooing and babbling sounds, such as “ahh” and “goo.” As they get older, they will start to imitate the sounds and intonations of the language they hear around them, and may start saying simple words like “mama” or “dada.” Well here’s one that hasn’t quite learned to say the words yet, but she definitely has all the gestures and facial expressions down–you can certainly understand what she’s saying!

In the clip, the baby, Lilly, was playing with dog’s food. Her mother confronts her about it but Lilly flat out denies it, then she gets mad at Mom for asking about it. This sounds like quite a few adults that I know!
