When the San Ramon Valley High School from Danville, CA got together for their annual Pops Concert, the audience had no idea they were going to be swept all the way back to the mid-1960s.

Beginning with the much-beloved Simon and Garfunkel song “Scarborough Fair,” this gorgeous version of their timeless song will definitely bring goosebumps to your skin and send chills down your spine. The booming voices of the males combined with the angelic female voices, along with the chimes and harp, make this song absolute lyrical and compositional perfection.

Talk to moms about mom stuff. And make money doing it.
The song dates to around the 1650s in old England, and after years of spreading throughout the old country and across Europe, there were countless versions with countless different lyrics all over the place. It wasn’t until Simon first heard the song in 1965 that he realized he just had to do a version of it. And when the song was featured in Dustin Hoffman’s breakout film The Graduate, everyone couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. What’s more, this song is actually recognized as having changed contemporary music by bringing folk music back into the mainstream.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more spectacular, it does! When they combine it with another amazing song from the famous singing duo, our jaws hit the floor.

Please watch this amazing performance if you want to be absolutely blown away. This group of high schoolers approaches this difficult song with a sense of responsibility and maturity that only the most talented singers can manage. This is not something you want to miss!
