A 14-year-old girl in Southern California is being hailed as a hero after she saved herself and her 4-year-old niece from a robber.

It all started in broad daylight, at 3:30 in the afternoon at Savannah Jones’s home east of Los Angeles. Savannah, a responsible 14-year-old, had been babysitting her toddler niece, Zoyee, when she heard a knock at the door.

Savannah was immediately suspicious. They weren’t expecting any visitors. Then the knocking became louder. Savannah crept up to the peephole and looked out.

A man Savannah had never seen before stood on the porch.

Savannah thought fast and– grabbing Zoyee and her phone– dashed into the bathroom. That’s when the man kicked in the front door.

“I was very scared,” Savannah later told the reporter in the video below. “Not so much for myself, but just Zoyee.”

It may sound like dramatic words from a young teen on TV, but the texts Savannah sent her mom from inside the bathroom prove her concern for the toddler’s safety went above her own.

Maria Muratalla, Savannah’s mom, was stuck in traffic when she saw her daughter’s text. She said it was gut-wrenching, not being there with the girls. Thankfully, she wasn’t

completely powerless to help. Maria called a neighbor and asked her to call 911.

Meanwhile Savannah and Zoyee stayed huddled in the bathroom. Savannah could hear the man rummaging through her mom’s belongings on the other side of the door, but she remained calm and encouraged her toddler niece to stay silent.

Thanks to Savannah’s quick-thinking, the man left without ever finding the girls.

Pain Reduction: Our bodies produce natural pain-relieving hormones (endorphins). The action and response (hormone production) improves circulation and creates a natural barrier to pain.

Improves Self-Esteem: All humans crave physical touch and reassurance of love from other humans. When we get hugs, they can reduce feelings of despair and help us feel safe and loved, offering a sense of belonging.

As you go about your day, remember this young boy running out to catch his dad for “just one more hug.” When you need an emotional pick-me-up, get a hug. If you see a friend with a frown, give them a hug. Being kind, especially in a tough world, can benefit you in many ways. The world definitely needs more kindness and more hugs!

There’s nothing quite like the sound of a baby’s laughter. That’s why parents are willing to do just about anything to make their little ones giggle so much they can’t stop. Some make silly faces or lightly tickle them, but Samantha Maples has discovered a particularly unique way to initiate a laughing fit from her baby daughter — and it involves poker chips.

Her method is simple: Samantha simply takes a few poker chips and gently places them on her baby’s head. This, for some reason, is quite literally the funniest thing ever to this adorable little girl. For added fun, Samantha tries her best to stack as many chips as possible before her baby knocks them over.

If this game had a winner, I’d say that the baby is the champion because, so far, Mom can barely get any chips on her head before she expertly tosses them on the floor. Either way, the end result is lots of laughter, so everyone is a winner, really!

Today, we celebrate 16 wonderful weeks with our twins. Watching them grow and discover the world around them has been an absolute delight. As they play and giggle together, we are reminded of the simple pleasures and the magic of childhood.

Brittany and Briana, 35, decided to attend the Twins Days Festival last 2017 in, you’ve guessed it right, Twinsburg, Ohio.
They had fun and met other twins too.

Then, they saw Josh and Jeremy Salyers, 37, at the festival and thought they were really handsome.

Soon, Josh fell in love with Brittany and Jeremy to Briana.
This is something that you don’t see every day. They also admitted being close to each other and enjoying their hobbies as siblings and friends.

After a year, the Salyers twins proposed to the two beautiful sisters, and soon, they tied the knot in a double wedding on August 5, 2018.

The two lovely couples decided to live in one home in Virginia.
They would often post photos on their Instagram account. The two couples wear the same clothes, making it hard for the people around them to distinguish who’s who.

Looks like a lot of fun, right?

After two years of being married, Brittany and Briana posted that they were both pregnant!

“We are thrilled and grateful to experience overlapping pregnancies and to share this news with you all,” they posted on their Instagram account salyerstwins.
