Couple Who Dealt With Infertility For Years Welcomed Premature Quintuplets Who Are Now Healthy Babies

0

When Graham and Stephanie Freels found out they were having five babies, they were shocked. The couple had unsuccessfully tried to have a baby for five years. Stephanie had a pituitary cyst removed after their marriage in 2017, but they still couldn’t have a baby, so they opted for an ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination.

Stephanie found out she was pregnant in December 2022, but a bigger surprise awaited the family. An ultrasound in January confirmed that Stephanie was pregnant with five babies at once. An excited Graham announced the news on Facebook in April 2023 and even started a blog to share updates with friends and family.

Graham and Stephanie were both elated and scared at the news. They had initially planned to move out of Stephanie’s parents’ home, where they had been staying since they married and had signed a lease for a small apartment. With the babies coming, they canceled the lease.

“I called up the landlord and I said, ‘I think we’re about to have a lot of kids, and I don’t think that apartment is going to work for us anymore,’” Graham told Good Morning America (GMA).

The Freels also temporarily relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, in March 2023 so that Dr. John Elliott, a maternal and fetal medicine expert who had helped deliver multiple babies, could monitor the pregnancy. The couple revealed that Dr. Elliot helped them not to fear having five babies at once.

While Graham worked remotely in Phoenix and cared for his wife, she had to overcome the intense, unrelenting nausea and vomiting that came with her pregnancy.

“I think that was the hardest part of pregnancy for me, that I had to try to meet that (calorie) goal,” she said. “I didn’t really consistently eat solid foods until I was about 23 weeks pregnant.”

Although the Freels tried to get to 34 weeks, Stephanie went into labor in the 27th week, and an emergency cesarean section was carried out at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A team of over 20 medical personnel helped in the operation and delivered four girls and a boy on June 4, 2023.

The hospital shared a press release about the births. The fraternal quintuplets were named Adelyn, Eliana, Linnea, Harper, and Fisher. They weighed around 2 pounds at birth and spent 11 weeks in the NICU because they needed respiratory support.

Thankfully, the hospital has a renowned Nursery Intensive Care Unit (NyICU), according to Andrea Hassler, nursing director of women and infant services at the hospital, which she said is notable for looking after “some of the most fragile babies.” The babies were healthy with no significant complications.

“For years we had prayed that God would bless us with children, and now it was finally coming true! I’ve always wanted a large family, but I could have never imagined it would happen all at once,” Stephanie said per the release.

Fisher, the only boy, was the last of the babies to be discharged on Aug. 19, 2023. The couple then moved back to Washington, to Stephanie’s parents’ home, where they had lots of help.

“It’s amazing having them at home,” Stephanie told GMA. “And it’s so nice not having them go back and forth to the NICU.”

The new parents were grateful to the strangers, family, and friends helping them with gifts and services. They also thanked the doctors and nurses for their care.

“They truly are just amazing people and just the amount of care they put into taking care of not only our babies, but every single baby they’re working with. They’re doing amazing things,” Graham said.

Dad Tells 3-Year-Old Son He Can Have A Toy As Long As It Fits His Hand — Is Left Speechless By Son’s Smart Move

0

There is nothing in the world that kids love as much as toys. Playing makes them happy, and if the toys were for educational purposes, they may even learn a few things.

However, some parents restrict their children whenever they buy toys. Sometimes, this is due to money constraints, and sometimes, it’s just because little kids would like to have anything that catches their eye, no matter whether it’s age (or wallet) appropriate or not.

When this was the case for a 3-year-old boy named Auggie Gallagher, his father was shocked at how the young kid outsmarted him for his idea.

In a post shared on Instagram in January 2024, his father, Thomas Gallagher, wrote that he told the sweet kid that he could only get a toy that fits in his hand.

Surprisingly, Auggie could be seen holding a big box which appeared to be a musical set for children that included a keyboard and turntable.

Since the box was so big, the boy appeared to struggle to keep it up.

“I said you can get a toy that FITS in your hand,” Thomas told his son.

Then, in a surprising turn of events, the father asked his son if he could hold the box with one hand.

A menacing background sound later played, then little Auggie had a big idea. At first, it’s unclear what he would do next as he placed the box back on the toy shelf.

“Watch daddy, okay,” the boy said, then he went on to carry the toy using one hand, which meant that he outsmarted his father’s rule.

Thomas was speechless at first, but then he burst out into laughter.

Thomas spoke with Today for an interview and he revealed that his son was indeed smart, as he said: “He’s a clever little guy and always thinking about how he can get the things he wants.”

Although Auggie was determined to get the toy based on the video, his father said that he didn’t get the musical turntable set.

The reason why he left it at the toy store was because he “lost interest and picked up a fire truck instead.”

“After he embarrassed me again (I called it a piano and he corrected me) I told him if he could carry it to the checkout he could keep it. He easily could have done this but was immediately distracted after taking two steps by the “little people” fire truck. So he got that and a little people schools,” the father gave an update in the comment section.

Millions of people had already seen the video, and thousands of them were amazed at how smart Auggie was.

People shared their comments about how adorable the little kid was, as one wrote, “He’s not even my kid and I feel like a proud Mama saying “That’s my baby!” Lol ”

“So…did my mans get the toy or no? He deserves the toy for passing the “fits in one hand” test,” one commented.

“He understood the assignment….Now let’s walk to the register dad, so you can hold your Credit Card with your hand,” another one wrote.

Thomas appreciated the comments as he said at the time of the interview that “there has been no negative feedback,” and it was fun for him to read the comments.

“I’m happy the video is making other people so happy,” he added.

Siblings’ Emotional Rendition of ‘Give Thanks’

0

In a heartwarming display of faith and family, siblings from the Asidor family perform an emotional rendition of ‘Give Thanks.’ This Christian family from the Philippines has been sharing God’s love and the gospel through their music since 1996, traveling across the country to perform at churches, Christian gatherings, crusades, and various events.

The Asidor family’s passion for worship is deeply rooted in a vision experienced by their father, M. Asidor Sr., during his teenage years. He dreamt of angels singing in heaven, and those angels turned out to be his own children.

Their rendition of ‘Give Thanks’ is a touching reminder of the power of gratitude and faith. As the siblings, three young girls and one boy, sing the powerful lyrics:

‘Give thanks with a grateful heart

Give thanks to the Holy One

Give thanks because He’s given

Jesus Christ His Son’

Their harmonies resonate with the depth of their devotion. The chorus, filled with hope and assurance, echoes their belief in God’s providence:

‘And now let the weak say I am strong

Let the poor say I am rich

Because of what the Lord has done for us

And now let the weak say I am strong

Let the poor say I am rich

Because of what the Lord has done for us’

The Asidors’ performance is more than just a musical act; it is a testimony of their unwavering faith and dedication to spreading the gospel. Their father’s dream of angelic voices has come true, and through their singing, they bring a piece of heaven to earth.

The family’s journey and shared mission have strengthened their faith and touched the hearts of many who have had the privilege of hearing them sing. The Asidors remind us of the importance of giving thanks and recognizing the blessings we have received, encouraging us to find strength and richness in God’s love. We hope you enjoyed this delightful music video!

At the start of this video, the dad places his video camera on the ground on their front porch. He squats down to tell us that his kids think that he is coming home next week and that he is surprising them. He goes to the door and knocks on it, stepping back to say hello. The dad stands ready to embrace his children. As he knocks, the little boy says in the background, “Hello.” He screams out, “Daddy!” running towards his father and jumping into his arms.

The two hold on to one another as you hear a little girl in the background yell, “Daddy,” as well. The father squats down while holding his son, preparing to embrace his daughter as well. This precious little preschooler runs to her dad, holding him with tears in her eyes. She smiles at him. The little girl adorably says, “What a nice surprise.” You hear crying in the background. The girl goes to find her mommy to tell her that daddy is home. The boy continues to cry and cannot let go of his daddy. They tell each other how they have missed each other.

It reminds us that one day we too will be reunited with our Heavenly Father in a great surprise. We will see Him face to face and be with Him forever home. He will wipe away the tears from our eyes and we will be in celebration that eternity in heaven has begun.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

2 Former Baseball Teammates Become Dads to Twins on the Same Day at the Same Hospital

0

Surely God had a hand in cementing the friendship of two former Framingham State University baseball players when the two teammates became dads on the very same day!

Chris Blydell and Justin Stanizzi played shortstop and third base, respectively, on the Framingham baseball team. The two played for the Framingham Rams just over a decade ago, but their paths crossed in a big way over the last several months.

Chris and Justin learned through social media that they were both expecting twins. They connected, and their wives, Michela and Allison, also became excited about their shared journey toward parenthood.

Michela said, “We shared the same doctor who said she was pretty sure we would both go a little bit earlier, but we made it all the way to 38 weeks and delivered on the same day. It was incredibly crazy.”

Moms Michela and Allison not only delivered all four babies on July 21, 2024, they also delivered their precious twins at the same hospital-Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. According to NBC Boston, all four were born less than two hours apart!

The crazy coincidences don’t stop there, though! In both cases, the girls were born first, and the baby boys were born second. The parents report that both girls are “feisty” at nap time and bedtime, while their boys are content to eat and nap. Both couples celebrate wedding anniversaries in April, just four days apart. How fun is that!

Justin shared with a laugh, “We were kind of hanging out in the hallway-all of us-and people were kind of yelling at us in the hall being like, ‘You can’t just stand out in the hallway holding the babies.’ It’s really cool to be able to relate to somebody who is going through something very similar.”

Framingham State University shared the story of their graduates on their school website. Per the school’s website, Justin and Allison, parents of Sloane and Salvatore, and Chris and Michela, Mom and Dad to Reece and Brooks, look forward to sharing trips to the beach each year on the twins’ birthday!
