Parenting is a grand experience. No two children are alike, and raising toddlers requires people to discard all parenting advice you’ve heard. You need to think outside the box when your child refuses to eat. When this father’s toddler wouldn’t eat, the family dog helped solve the problem. When the dog sat for a treat, the toddler sat for a treat. Could getting the toddler to eat really be this easy?
By thinking outside the box, parents who are having trouble getting their toddlers to eat develop unique ways to accomplish the task. Our dad noticed his toddler mimicked every move when the family dog sat for a treat. While it may be controversial, a lightbulb went off over Dad’s head. He offered his toddler a “treat,” just like the dog. Shazam! It worked!

When the dog and the toddler sat, both looked up expectantly. Dad had the dog speak for a treat. The dog barked, and the toddler squeaked. Saying “easy,” the Dad gently offered each a treat. Then, Dad asked the dog and the toddler to give handshakes. Both were again rewarded with treats that they gobbled up.

For centuries, parents have used ingenuity to “help” their toddlers eat healthy. This mom creatively ignored her toddler’s refusal to eat while preparing his lunch. It wasn’t hard getting this next toddler to eat, but the reaction to the first bite of pizza was hilarious. This toddler wasn’t coming out of their pillow fort for anything. Mom passed the food into the fort. The fork returned empty, proving that getting her toddler to eat was possible.
