Elvis Presley’s Grandson Stuns The Judges With ‘Love Me Tender’ Audition

0

At the start of this video, a young man named Dakota Striplin begins to sing and play guitar with the voice of an angel. A judge immediately turns around her chair and puts her hand on her heart.

Suddenly, another judge says, “I need to see what’s going on here” and flips her chair. At the end of his song, one judge shares how excited she is that this young man is here. The judges are shocked that he not only sang, he was also playing.

They ask him what caused him to choose that song and artist. Dakota responds that Elvis inspired him and his grandmother used to love going to the shows and there is a running joke that he could be his grandson. The judges laugh when they see the resemblance.

As Dakota begins to share his story, he says that his dad does not talk about it much. However, his grandmother used to go and help with Elvis’ shows in Hawaii. She would take Dakota’s dad but none of her other kids to Hawaii with her.

17-Year-Old Sings Using Sign Language For Her Deaf Parents And Earns Golden Buzzer

0

Martina has had dreams of finding a way to bring the beauty of music to her parents, who are both deaf. Inspired by the French film Coda, Martina took her dream to the stage, and you won’t believe what happened next.

Ever since Martina was a little girl, she’s used her ability to hear and sing to open up a whole new world for her parents. Even though her parents can’t hear Martina’s voice, she found a way to incorporate sign language into her love of singing.

After she explained to the judges that she was born to deaf parents and how she wanted to find a way to include her parents in her love of music, the judges were in awe of Martina’s heart. She then went on to sing a song in French while signing the lyrics in sign language.

When her beautiful performance had ended, the audience cheered for her in applause along with her parents, who were cheering her on too!

One viewer who watched the performance was in awe of why Martina signed the song and taught the audience about the hearing impaired. She wrote, “What a beautiful program. The joy, the emotions, and also the teachings that she gave.”

Another viewer echoed how difficult it is to sign and sing at the same time. She added, “I totally respect her. It’s an almost impossible task to sing and translate to hand sign at the same time. She deserved it, hands down.”

Martina definitely deserved to earn the golden buzzer, not just because of her gifts but because of the love, compassion, and respect she has for her parents.

What a beautiful soul this sweet, 17-year-old lady has for those who interact with the world differently. Her gift reminds me of first Corinthians. If we do not have love, we have nothing.

Twin girls born with different skin colors have to prove they’re siblings, even to their friends

0

When we think of twins it’s usually the case that we struggle to tell them apart but for British sisters Lucy and Maria Aylmer this has never been the case – in fact these two have to convince people they are twins.

The now 24-year-old sisters would often have to produce their birth certificates to prove they were even sisters let alone twins.

In 1997, Donna Aylmer cried with joy when she learned she was expecting twin girls. But after the delivery, she took a serious look at her newborn twin girls.
One of them, Lucy, had red hair, blue eyes, and a pale, freckled complexion. The second one, Maria, had brown skin, brown eyes, and dark curly hair.

Black and white twins: Meet the sisters who ‘couldn’t look more different if they tried. These two teenage girls are…

Posted by Beautiful Interracial Relationships on Monday, March 2, 2015
How could these two girls be twins?

Lucy and Maria, from Gloucester, England, were born to interracial parents and while Lucy has straight red hair, a fair skin tone, and blue eyes, her twin sister Maria has dark skin, brown eyes and curly hair.
The girls were born in January 1997 to Donna who is half Jamaican and their father Vince who is white, and together they have produced one white twin and one black twin.

Lucy said when she and her sister were first born her mom was in shock.

“So she had no idea that we were so different. When the midwife handed us both to her she was just speechless,” she said, as per the Daily Mail.
The twins have three older siblings who Lucy says have skin tones somewhere in the middle of hers and Maria’s.

“But my grandmother has a very fair English rose complexion, just like mine.” says Lucy.

She added: “No one ever believes we are twins. Even when we dress alike, we still don’t look like sisters, let alone twins. Friends have even made us produce our birth certificates to prove it.”

The entire situation puzzled mother Donna and numerous others — but the scientific explanation is quite simple.

For a biracial couple expecting twins, there is about a 1 in 500 chance those twins will have different skin colors, according to the BBC.

Lucy and Maria are fraternal twins, meaning that two different eggs were fertilized by two different sperm. Genetically speaking, mother Donna has genes composed of both light and darker features, resulting in one twin having pale skin and the other having darker skin.
Lucy said in an interview with Good Morning Britain that when she and her sister were 7 years old they told their mom they didn’t want to wear the same clothes.

Paying attention!! lol

Unfortunately, their difference in color led to a rather tough upbringing, especially for Lucy.

“They thought I was adopted and called me a ghost,” says Lucy.
Maria, for her part, wished she was more like Lucy during her childhood.

“I used to cry often. I had curly hair. I wanted my sister’s beautiful, red hair,” she says.

The two also have different personalities with Maria being the outgoing one who studied Law and Psychology at Cheltenham College, while Lucy studied Art and Design at Gloucester College.

But first, lets take a selfie.

Lucy explained: “Maria was outgoing whilst I was the shy one. But Maria loves telling people at college that she has a white twin – and I’m very proud of having a black twin.”

But while the two are opposites in so many ways, they’re as close as twins can be. They’re best friends and have learned to love themselves and their differences — with pride.

“If I have children one day, they may look like Lucy,” Maria says proudly.

And as they get older these twin girls say their bond just keeps getting stronger.

Although they look different and no longer dress the same way, I do think they share the same beautiful smile.

It’s so wonderful to see these two lovely young women today!
Despite some setbacks, they seem to have such a great outlook on life. And they’re also proof that it’s what’s on the inside that counts!

7-year-old swims for an hour to get help for dad and sister stranded in river

0

A seven-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after he swam for an hour to get help for his family when they became stranded in a river.

As per incredible reports, Chase Poust was out with his father, Steven, and four-year-old sister, Abigail, at the beginning of Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 28.

The three of them took a boat to the St. Johns River near Mandarin Point in Jacksonville, Florida, and had anchored it. The plan was for Steven to do a spot of fishing while his two children swam nearby. The current was so strong that my sister — she usually hangs out at the back of the boat — and she let go. So, I let go of the boat and grabbed her, and then, I was stuck,” Chase said in an exclusive interview with news channel WJXT.

Chase wasn’t wearing a life jacket, but he let go of the boat to try and help his sister. Steven also jumped into the water in an attempt to grab his daughter, but she continued to drift away.

Steven explained to News4Jax: “I told them I loved him because I wasn’t sure what’s going to happen. I tried to stick with both of them. I wore myself out. She drifted away from me.”

Pregnant Mom Asks Her To “Walk Like Mommy Walks” — Her Imitation Is Hilariously Accurate!

0

Are you familiar with the imitation game? Of course you are. Everyone has played the imitation game, whether they were a willing participant or not. It’s the game where one person copies the movements of another person and repeats everything he or she says. Super fun for the imitator, super annoying for the person being imitated.

And you know who loves playing the imitation game, almost exclusively playing the role of the imitator? Kids. Perhaps it’s because they’re still sponges that learn by copying, or perhaps it’s because they’re so pleased with themselves for figuring out a way to befuddle adults. Either way, they get a lot of practice in so they’re pretty much pros in the art of mimicry.

So when Teri O’Neil, a six-month pregnant mother, asked her adorable 1-year-old daughter Olivia “how does momma walk?” you better believe that Olivia was more than happy to demonstrate exactly how mommma walks.

Olivia arches her back and pushes out her belly as she walks very deliberately across the room. But the best part that you don’t want to miss is her facial expression! Olivia’s imitation of her pregnant mom is absolutely hilarious and way too accurate!

Trio Of Brothers Perform Stevie Wonder Mashup

0

Who doesn’t like a good performance? I know I love it when someone on stage can engage me in their routine and keep my attention throughout. Although a lot of people can, there aren’t that many children who are willing to get on stage, at such a young age, and take up the challenge of singing for a crowd. The boys in this video, though, are a little bit different.

So much talent is packed into these young kids, it’s unbelievable! They’re so little yet they have such a command of the stage and their music. They are undeniably gifted and are extra talented at working the crowd. You can’t help but fall in love with their energy and vibe.

Hailing from both Toronto and Edmonton, Canada, the Melisizwe brothers comprise Zach, Seth, and Marc. Zac is the youngest of the group, and while he can play multiple instruments like the piano, drums, violin and more, it’s Zac’s vocals that really shine! Seth is the middle child and keeps the group together with his piano skills. Then there’s Marc who holds it down as the eldest and the leader and mentor of the group with his guitar playing. He also chimes in with background vocals and sings harmony. Together, they could be the next Jackson 5.

Coming from humble beginnings on YouTube, the boys have created a name for themselves. It was when their video for the Jackson 5 song, “I’ll Be There” caught the attention of Ellen; she asked them to appear on her show. Now, they’re on “Little Big Shots UK.”

Here, they’re performing a Stevie Wonder mashup, and it’s as if the legend was there with them. Zac’s vocals sound like they’re coming from an adult who has been singing for decades, not a 3-foot kid! His range is so vast and impressive; he hits the highs and the lows with ease.

The trio starts their performance singing one song, but then the music suddenly changes, and Zac does a spin out into the bridging song, totally changing things up and adding a different vibe to the show! This kid’s got charm! The way he makes eye contact with the camera and uses his arms to draw attention. Even the way he bops his head or leans back when he hits a certain note. Where does he learn this? His two brothers are dynamite with their sound, too. They can play multiple instruments and know how to do it flawlessly. Together, all of these kids rock!
